Welcome to CareShare. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use CareShare.

1. What CareShare is

CareShare is a place for families to give, lend, sell, or request medical and special-needs equipment locally. CareShare is only a connector between members. We do not own, inspect, store, repair, endorse, or guarantee any item listed, and we do not verify members' identities, claims, or the accuracy of any listing. Any exchange is solely between the members involved.

2. No warranties

Everything on CareShare is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We make no promises about the safety, condition, cleanliness, legality, or fitness for any purpose of any item, and no promises that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

3. Your use, and your risk

You use CareShare and deal with other members at your own risk. You are responsible for inspecting any equipment and judging whether it is safe and appropriate before using it. Nothing on CareShare is medical advice; consult a qualified professional about medical equipment and its use. Equipment intended for a child or dependent is the decision and responsibility of the parent, guardian, or caregiver.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareShare and its operator are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage of any kind arising from items exchanged through the site, from interactions with other members, or from your use of the site.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information in your listings and messages, to use CareShare lawfully, and not to list items that are recalled, unsafe, expired, stolen, or prohibited by law. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure.

6. Accounts and content

We may remove content or suspend or close accounts at our discretion, including for conduct that is unsafe, unlawful, or harmful to other members.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of CareShare after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
