This policy explains what CareShare collects, why, and what choices you have.
What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password — never the password itself. When you use CareShare we store the listings you post and the messages you send, along with basic technical information needed to run the site.
How we use it
We use your information only to operate CareShare: to sign you in, show and manage listings, and let members message each other about equipment.
Service providers
CareShare runs on a few trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), and Brevo (sending email such as password resets and notifications). They may process your data only to provide those services.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data. Your email address is never shown to other members — conversations happen inside CareShare.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, email ritvikgarg1904@gmail.com and we will remove it.
Cookies
CareShare uses a single, strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Children
CareShare is for equipment used by children, but accounts are for adults. It is not intended for use by children themselves, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
